The project was divided into 3 parts in increasing complexity:
1. The first part included the creation of twelve characters.
An important note - 6 of them should personify good in their appearance, the other 6 characters should personify evil, a prerequisite is a personal chest, which should also suit their style, then the most interesting character was selected from each group.
2. The next part of the project was devoted to the description of any of the existing or fictional fantasy races, after which it was necessary to create a simple concept art of the three chests that this race uses, to the description it was necessary to add light illustrations: the appearance of the race, the area in which the race lives, distinctive signs of the warring race's race, types of weapons used by the chosen race, symbol of the tribe.
3. The last part of the project was dedicated to improving the concept art of one of the three chests created in the second part of the project. My choice fell on the second option, the strangest, more like a magic staff, but the idea was that this thing had two options - when closed, this chest became a weapon, and its miniature size is due to a magical property that allows you to fit more things into the chest than it seems at first glance.
In the first picture you can see the first stage of the project, a simple exercise to visualize the personification of such concepts as "good" and "evil" in characters.
In the second picture I described the race of centaurs, an imaginary tribe lives in the wild, wields magic, is at enmity with another tribe of its race, has its own unique legends and traditions.
At the third stage, I chose such a staff-chest and began to improve it.
The result is this concept art.
